Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Cherish Digitals collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain.

1. Who we are

Cherish Digitals is the trading name of Bethany-Cherish May, a sole trader based in Brighton, UK. We are the "controller" of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it's used.

Contact: [email protected]

2. What this policy covers

  • our website
  • enquiries, emails and calls
  • our social media management services and audits
  • The Visible Female Founders community, Her 3-Day Content Engine and 1:1 sessions
  • our emails and free resources
  • our social media accounts, including comments, direct messages and LIVEs

When you follow a link from our website to another service, such as Skool, Calendly, Stripe, Instagram or TikTok, that service's own privacy policy applies to the information you give it.

3. What we collect, why, and our lawful basis

Visiting our website

Our website has no forms and doesn't ask you for any information. When a page loads, our website platform, the font service it uses (Google Fonts) and, if you scroll to our video testimonials, our video player (Vimeo) receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, so they can show you the page and keep it secure.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests (running a secure website that works).

Getting in touch and booking a call

If you email us, message us or book a call through Calendly, we collect your name, email address, any phone number you give us, details about your business, and anything you choose to tell us. We use this to reply, to hold the call, and to work out whether we're the right fit for you.

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and legitimate interests (responding to enquiries).

If you're a client

For social media management, audits and 1:1 sessions we collect your contact and billing details, your contract, invoices and payment records, information about your brand and audience, the content we create for you, notes from our calls, and your feedback.

Access to your social media accounts. Where possible we ask you to give us access through the platform's own team tools (such as Meta Business Suite) rather than sharing your password. We only use the access you give us to deliver your service, and we'll ask you to remove it when we stop working together.

Your own followers' and customers' information. When we manage your accounts we may see information about your followers and customers, such as their comments and messages. We handle that information on your behalf, as your "processor", only to deliver your service and under the data processing terms in our client agreement.

Lawful basis: contract, legal obligation (keeping tax and accounting records), and legitimate interests (improving our services).

The community and our programmes

When you join The Visible Female Founders on Skool, Skool shares some information with us as the community owner, such as your name, profile and your answers to the joining questions. We also see what you post, which lessons and calls you take part in, and any wins you share.

Live calls are recorded so members can watch the replay. We'll tell you at the start of each call that it's being recorded. You can keep your camera off, and if you'd rather not appear in a replay, tell us and we'll trim or remove your part where we reasonably can.

For Her 3-Day Content Engine and 1:1 sessions we collect your name, email address, business details and the work you share with us so we can give you feedback.

Payments. Community payments are handled by Skool, and other payments by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

Lawful basis: contract, and legitimate interests (running a safe, well-moderated community).

Our emails and free resources

If you sign up for a free resource or our emails, we collect your name and email address, what you signed up for, and whether you open or click our emails, so we can send you things that are useful.

We only send marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, or if you're a client and we're telling you about similar services. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Lawful basis: consent, or, for clients, the "soft opt-in" under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

Social media

When you comment, message us or join one of our LIVEs, we see whatever the platform shows us, such as your username and your message. We use this to reply to you. We won't add you to our email list from a direct message unless you ask us to.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests (talking with our audience).

Testimonials

If you give us a testimonial, we publish your name and your words only with your permission. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

Lawful basis: consent.

AI tools

We use AI writing tools to help plan and draft content. We only put client information into these tools where it's needed for your work. Where a tool offers a setting that stops our inputs being used to train it, we switch that setting on. We never put payment details or sensitive personal information into AI tools.

Sensitive information

We don't ask for sensitive information, such as details about your health, religion or sexuality. If you choose to share something like this in the community or with us, we'll only use it in the context you shared it in. Please don't share other people's personal information in the community.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • the services we use to run the business: our website platform, email provider, email marketing service, Calendly (bookings), Skool (community), Stripe (payments), Google (documents and worksheets), Vimeo (video testimonials), Canva (design) and AI writing tools
  • freelancers who help us deliver client work, who are bound by confidentiality
  • our accountant and professional advisers
  • authorities such as HMRC, where the law requires it

5. Information sent outside the UK

Some of these services are based in, or store information in, the United States or elsewhere. When information leaves the UK, it's protected by UK government "adequacy" regulations (including the UK–US data bridge, for certified companies) or by the contract clauses approved by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

6. How long we keep it

Information How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work 2 years after our last contact
Client contracts, invoices and payment records 6 years after our work together ends, for tax and legal reasons
Access to your social media accounts Removed as soon as our work together ends
Community member information While you're a member, then deleted within 12 months of you leaving. Payment records are kept for 6 years
Live call recordings While the replay library is running, unless you ask us to remove your part
Email list Until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a "do not email" list, so we don't contact you again
Testimonials Until you ask us to remove them

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it
  • ask us to delete it
  • ask us to limit how we use it
  • object to how we use it, including stopping marketing at any time
  • ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, email us. We'll reply within one month. There's usually no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

8. Cookies

Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website platform may use small files that are needed for the site to work and stay secure. Our video testimonials play through Vimeo with its "do not track" setting switched on, which stops Vimeo tracking your viewing. When you visit Skool, Calendly or Stripe through our links, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies.

If we add analytics in future, we'll update this section and tell you how to opt out.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, please tell us first. Email [email protected] with the subject line "Data protection complaint".

We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days (usually much sooner). We'll look into it without delay, keep you updated, and tell you the outcome.

If you're still unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

10. Children

Our services are for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information about children.

11. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects you significantly, we'll tell you directly.
